Day 2 – Eiffel Tower and More

Discover Paris’s most famous tourist sights and monuments on one unique tour. Your tour by air- conditioned panoramic coach offers you the opportunity to see Paris and learn about its history and most famous sights through an audio guide commentary. Marvel at Paris’s best-known sights: Place Vendôme, the Opera, the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Palace and Gardens, the Orsay Museum, Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Invalides. At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, step aboard for an hour-long musical cruise along the Seine with an audio guide. Marvel at the amazing architecture of the heart of Paris’s most prestigious monuments lining the banks of the Seine: the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Orsay Museum, the Conciergerie, etc. Thanks to your priority access, you can skip the line and speed up by elevator to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, Paris’s most unmissable monument. Built by Gustave Eiffel for the Universal Exhibition in 1889, it is 1,063 feet high. Take in the magnificent 360°views of the city and explore this iconic monument at your own pace.

Day 3 – Visit the Louvre

Three hour guided visit of the Louvre museum to discover the main works like the Venus of Milo, the Coronation of The Emperor Napoléon I and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

Day 4 – Avignon

Train to Avignon (TGV). Enjoy a guided walking tour of Avignon, during which you discover the highlights of this fortified city: the ramparts, the cathedral of Notre Dame des Doms, of Roman-Provencal architecture overseeing the Rhône valley, the St Bénézet Bridge also called the Avignon Bridge. Guided visit of the Papal Palace. Built starting from 1335, this palace-fortress symbolizes the influence of the Christian church in the Occident during the XIV century. Covering 6400 m², it stands out to be the largest Middle-Age Gothic building. Accommodation for your stay is at the 4 star Le Cloître Saint Louis.

Day 5 – L’Isle Sur La Sorgues, The Luberon & Aix-En-Provence

Enjoy the city of L’Isle sur La Sorgue. The town is built on an island formed by the River Sorgue where it splits in two, hence its name. The presence of the crystal clear water in the picturesque town centre gives a bucolic atmosphere that is an invitation to discovery. This delightful town is known far and wide for its huge number of antique shops which you will discover as you stroll. Visit of the perched village of Gordes, famous for its stone homes built along the hillside, and then of Roussillon in order to enjoy a most surprising place: the Ocres of Roussillon, mineral landscape shaped by man and erosion. Following this, you will go to Aix en Provence, young and vibrant Provencal city which lies in the shadow of the Mt Ste Victoire. Accommodation for your stay is at the 4 star Hotel Cezanne.

Day 6 – Aix-En-Provence, Marseille

Guided walking tour to discover the charms of Aix en Provence and its sumptuous architecture from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as mansions and fountains, lively streets and lovely stores. Stroll around the colorful stalls of its open air market and sample produces directly with the producers. Aix en Provence was also the birthplace of the painter Cézanne, your tour will take you in his footsteps. Your visit will end by tasting of local Aix delicacy, Calissons. This traditional candy consists of candied fruit, ground almonds and a glaze topping – truly a unique flavor! Next stop: Marseille, European Capital of Culture in 2013. With its unique geography, history and culture, Marseille is a whole world waiting to be explored. Accommodation for your stay is at the 4 star Radisson Blu Hotel Vieux Port.

This picturesque tour will make you discover the Marseille of the good old times with this antique fishermen’s district.   Guided visit of the recently opened MuCem, floating between the water and sky, at the entrance to the Old Port of Marseille. Facing the open sea, it draws an horizon where the two shores of the Mediterranean can meet. Never before has  a  museum  been  specifically  dedicated  to  the  cultures  of  the  Mediterranean,  despite  their richness  from  the  perspective  of  history  and  civilization.  Free  time  to  enjoy  for  example  the Calanques.
