Enjoy the city of L’Isle sur La Sorgue. The town is built on an island formed by the River Sorgue where it splits in two, hence its name. Stroll around the colorful stalls of its open air market and sample produces directly with the producers. Aix en Provence was also the birthplace of the painter Cézanne, your tour will take you in his footsteps. Your visit will end by tasting of local Aix delicacy, Calissons. This traditional candy consists of candied fruit, ground almonds and a glaze topping – truly a unique flavor! Next stop: Marseille, European Capital of Culture in 2013. Enjoy a fun visit of this amazing city by the “Little train”.
