Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in the City of Lights

Arrive in Paris, where you will be greeted by your private driver and escorted to your hotel. Accommodation for your stay is at the 4 star Hotel Regina.

Day 2 – Eiffel Tower and More

Discover Paris’s most famous tourist sights and monuments on one unique tour. Your tour by air- conditioned panoramic coach offers you the opportunity to see Paris and learn about its history and most famous sights through an audio guide commentary. Marvel at Paris’s best-known sights: Place Vendôme, the Opera, the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Palace and Gardens, the Orsay Museum, Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Invalides. At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, step aboard for an hour-long musical cruise along the Seine with an audio guide. Marvel at the amazing architecture of the heart of Paris’s most prestigious monuments lining the banks of the Seine: the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Orsay Museum, the Conciergerie, etc. Thanks to your priority access, you can skip the line and speed up by elevator to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, Paris’s most unmissable monument. Built by Gustave Eiffel for the Universal Exhibition in 1889, it is 1,063 feet high. Take in the magnificent 360°views of the city and explore this iconic monument at your own pace.

Day 3 – Visit the Louvre

Three hour guided visit of the Louvre museum to discover the main works like the Venus of Milo, the Coronation of The Emperor Napoléon I and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

Day 4 – Dijon

Train to Dijon (TGV). Enjoy a guided walking tour of Dijon, during which you discover the immense Notre Dame Cathedral, the iconic landmark of the city and the delightful narrow streets of the Old Town. Private tour to the “Côte de Nuits”, a region famous for its great red wines, particularly its Pinot Noirs. Beloved red wines from this region include Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, Vosne Romanée and Nuits Saint-Georges. The “Côte de Nuits” Grand Cru wines are among the smallest appellations in France, some covering less than a hectare. Visit of Le Clos de Vougeot, a medieval, stone-walled vineyard started by Cistercian monks beginning in the 12th century, where you learn about the beginnings of wine production in Burgundy. Appreciate a wine tasting during the afternoon before arriving in Beaune. Accommodation for your stay is at the 4 star Le Cep.

Day 5 – Beaune

Guided walking tour of Beaune, located in the heart of a prestigious vineyard whose evocative names of Pommard, Corton-Charlemagne, La Romanée-Conti… make wine lovers’ eyes sparkle. Beaune is also a city of Art, and its most emblematic monument is most certainly the Hôtel Dieu (Hospices of Beaune) with its incomparable varnished tile roof. Visit of a “Moutarderie” and its museum dedicated to mustard to discover this legendary condiment through an introductory tour. In the course of an entertaining and interactive tour, set in a timeless and old factory atmosphere that is completely unique, “La Moutarderie” takes you through the centuries to recall for you the (often forgotten) art and traditions relating to mustard and its history. The visit ends with a tasting of 4 mustards. Guided visit of the Hospices of Beaune. Flagship of French Gothic art, built in the 15th century by the chancellor Nicolas Rolin, this former hospital establishment, which is now a museum, is famous around the world for its traditional Burgundy architecture as well as for its prestigious vineyard whose production is auctioned off under the name “Sale of the Hospices of Beaune”. The afternoon starts with a visit to one of the city’s largest wine cellars in order to perfect your immersion in the universe of Burgundy wines. A few wine tastings will complete your visit.

Day 6 – Vineyards – Côte de Beaune

Enjoy a full day excursion to « Côte de Beaune” which introduces you to the origin of the great Chardonnay white wines through the vineyards of Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne- Montrachet. Furthermore, Côte de Beaune is also planted with Pinot-Noir and you will discover Pommard, Volnay and Santenay. Guided visit of Chateau de Pommard, an eighteenth century castle and the largest private vineyard in Burgundy. Discover a magical place where wine and art come together, important works by Dali, Picasso, Matisse and Andy Warhol sit alongside contemporary exhibitions and a wine museum. Visit the cellars and enjoy a late morning wine tasting session. Then, visit the site of the first producer of Crémant de Bourgogne. You will be guided through the process of creating a Crémant de Bourgogne step by step, from grape pressing to exporting the finished product. The visit ends with a tasting of three Crémant de Bourgogne. Following this you’ll drive through the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune across the wine route. Stop off at a vineyard to stretch your legs and have the chance to get close to the vines and get a better understanding of the climate and the grape growing process. Guided visit of a mansion built in 1860. The house boasts two beautiful vaulted cellars stacked with wines dating back to the fifteenth century. Finish the day with a tasting of Premier Crus accompanied by Gougères, (a snack regional to Burgundy made of baked savory choux pastry).

Day 7 – A Day For You

Back to Paris by train and free time. You may want to visit the famous flea market, Marche aux Puces or explore more of the city’s famous art museums. We would be happy to help with any of these arrangements. If shopping is your preference, where better to be than in Paris!

Day 8 – Return Home – Au Revoir!

After breakfast you will be escorted to the airport by your private driver. Au revoir!
