This morning, enjoy a private guided tour of this elegant city, once capital of the Kingdom of Italy, today a prosperous city with many industries such as the FIAT Car Company. During the orientation tour you will see the Mole Antonelliana symbol of the city, the Castle, Royal Palace, the Gran Madre Church and the Po River, beautiful squares and arcades, the elegant old Cafés and the Shops. Accommodation at the Grand Hotel Sitea.
The beautiful city of Turin is well known for its baroque, neo-classical, and Art Nouveau architecture, but what many people don’t know is that it is also famous for its underground. An exciting time await “in the center of the earth” to discover the “underground city” which so often saved and gave shelter in history to the inhabitants of Turin. Your half-day tour will bring you down 15 meters deep, to visit the galleries of the eighteenth century, the ancient crypts of the old town and the royal ice of Porta Palazzo. You will be guided through the dark tunnels underneath the city, with an expert guide and a torch to light your way, you will discover the mysteries hidden beneath. Accommodation at the Grand Hotel Sitea.
Today, your private driver will take you to the region of Cuneo. The Province of Cuneo extends to the southwestern tip of Piedmont, and borders France to the west and Liguria to the south. The Alps, with the Monviso massif and the hills of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, covers most of the territory, while at the center lies a vast plain traversed by the Po, Tanaro, and other rivers. The beautiful landscapes offer great variety: valleys with luxuriant vegetation, hills with many vineyards broken up only by castles, and wildlife reserves of unique beauty. On the road, stop at two different Cantine for a visit and a wine tasting. Accommodation at Rocche Costamagna Art Suites.
The Piedmont region is a collection of different landscapes and, to a certain extent, slightly different cultures, as well. Today you could explore the area on your own. Accommodation at Rocche Costamagna Art Suites.
Today, you try to become a chef with a cooking class (lunch included). Prepare and eat your own home made fresh pasta, learn how to do it without the help of any machinery, learn to create delicious desserts and enjoy! Far away from the cities, learn and experience the Italian way of cooking. On the road visit a Cantine in Seralungo for a wine tasting. Accommodation at Rocche Costamagna Art Suites.
After your breakfast, go and meet viticulturists. On the road visit two different Cantine for a wine tasting. One of them is an old family of viticulturists that -between the end of ‘800 and the beginning of ‘900- became wine-producers. Within this area, vineyards that showed exceptional quality and with great pride of the owners became known as “The Grand Vines”. It’s always about a small parcel that has a particular exposure, the right elevation of the slopes, the composition of the soil and the microclimate to offer the optimal conditions to produce excellent grapes. Accommodation at Rocche Costamagna Art Suites.
This morning, you will be transferred to the region of Lake Orta. There is a code of silence that surrounds Lake Orta in northern Italy. People are reluctant to tell others about its beauty for fear of increasing the number of visitors. It is telling that the Milanese call it La Cenerentola (Cinderella) because they have long considered it the secretly superior sibling to the larger, money-blighted lakes of Como and Maggiore. The place is really pretty, the lake is mysterious, ethereal, almost with supernatural quality. There is something for the soul there as well as for the eye. Accommodation at Villa Crespi.
After your breakfast, you will meet your guide at the hotel and enjoy a visit of the most significant places of this area. Visit of “Borgo di Orta”, San Giulio Island with the Roman Church, and the Sacred Mountain that was recognised in 2003 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure. Accommodation at Villa Crespi.
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport by your private driver. Arrivederci!
