Day 1
Arrive Innsbruck
Arrive into Innsbruck airport where you will be met by your private car and driver and taken to your hotel. After relaxing at the hotel, join your guide for a short walking tour that gives you the opportunity to follow Innsbruck's history and see the highlights of the city. By taking this walking tour you will get a first impression about history, art and the city's main attractions, such as the old town, the Golden Roof, St.Jacobs Cathedral, Hofburg Palace and Hofkirche.
Day 2
Everything Innsbruck
After breakfast at your hotel, take the convenient cable car from Innsbruck to Seegrube. The journey starts 560 m above sea level directly near the old town of Innsbruck. The cable car with its extraordinary stations sets international benchmarks in modern architecture. Between end of December until beginning of April you will have the opportunity to visit the Igloo ice bar called CLOUD9 when you reach Station Seegrube - at no extra costs! In the evening, your driver will pick you up from your hotel to enjoy a typical Tyrolean evening with an attractive programme which includes authentic folk music. See the dancers and shoe slapping and listen to the Tyrolean songs and yodelling. A delicious 3 - course menu will be served during the show.
Day 3
Travel to Salzburg
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the train station to catch your first class train to Salzburg. You will be met at the train station and taken to your hotel. After you have had a chance to relax, you will take a short tour that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the highlights of the city where Mozart was born and the 'Sound of Music' was filmed. You will see sights such as; Mirabell Palace, the Mozarteum School of Music, the Marionette Theatre, the County Theatre, Mozart`s Birthplace, Getreidegasse, Blasius Church, the Horsepond, the Festival Halls, and more! The tour finishes at Mozart`s Square
You Choose the Tour
Choose between: an interesting tour of Salzburg and discover the beauty and contrasting scenery of the picturesque Austrian countryside or a combination of the `most unique Sound of Music tour` plus a tour to the historical Salt Mines or Travel along majestic Alpine roads to the largest ice caves and underground glacier in the world. In the evening, be a guest of Mozart! Dine at Europe's oldest restaurant, Stiftskeller St. Peter, while listening to the music of W. A. Mozart performed by local musicians in historical costumes. Imagine the joy of living in Mozart's Salzburg with its colourful costumes and the culinary joys.
Vienna
After breakfast at the hotel, your driver will take you to the train station to catch your first class train to Vienna where you will be met by your driver and escorted to your hotel. Our 3 hour city tour in the afternoon will introduce you to the the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms.
Danube Valley tour & the Schonbrunn Palace performance
Today, we will take a tour along the Danube Valley the 'Wachau' (listed Unesco World Cultural Heritage) visit the impressive Baroque Benedictine Abbey at Melk. We reach Melk for a visit of the impressive Baroque Benedictine Abbey, located high above the Danube. We then return to Vienna passing by the medieval village of Durnstein and the charming town of Krems. Tour ends at the Opera House. In the evening, enjoy a unique and charming experience at the Schonbrunn Palace, one of the most magnificent cultural monuments in Austria. This very professionally performed classical concert takes place in the Orangerie of Schonbrunn Palace. The concert is in two halves with the orchestra playing Mozart in the first half and Strauss in the second. The orchestra comprises of between 6 and 18 musicians with a conductor, 2 opera singers and a pair of ballet dancers. The Orangerie Schonbrunn opens out onto part of Schonbrunn Palace's gardens, where you can walk during the interval as well as before and after the performance.
Bid Goodbye
After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for your flight and happy memories back home.
