Explore a land of lush green meadows and magnificent waterfalls, a country of geysers, steam vents and lava flows. Soak in a mineral-rich naturally heated pool and enjoy the Viking sagas and history. Iceland has this and more- a land of contrasts, of fire and ice, of volcanic mountains and glaciers. Its an outdoor museum if ever there was one!
Depart on your overnight flight to Reykjavik, Iceland. Hotel is reserved night before for early morning check in.
Iceland, an island of tumbling waterfalls, clean air and stark mountain ridges. It has the largest glaciers in Europe and more geothermal activity than Yellowstone. Enjoy Reykjavik sightseeing to see the Parliament, Cathedral and bustling fishing harbor.
Sightseeing the classic Golden Circle attractions. Visit Thingvellir National Park, location for early Viking settler's legislative sessions, and the geyser thermal area, where the world's most active geyser (Strokkur) spouts every 7 minutes. See Gullfoss Waterfall, Iceland's most beautiful as it double-falls into a deep gorge, and a water-filled, extinct volcanic crater.
Glaciers, Falls and Lakes
Super jeeps whisk you along a lakeshore and by powerful waterfalls. Go off-road and climb to Langjokull Glacier, the massive glacier resting on a mountainside massif. From the base of the glacier, monster truck sightseeing explores the Langjokull and three smaller glaciers adjacent. This is a fascinating adventure unique to Iceland.
The Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon has become world known for its healing properties, especially for people who suffer from skin diseases. The mineral contents of the water have been examined by experts who have declared the combination to be excellent for bathing, curing and relaxation, yours to enjoy on your own.
