Day 3 Enroute to Seward on the Alaskan Railroad
This morning we have an early start to Seward. Relax and view the scenic beauty of a ride on the Alaska Railroad, the last full-service railroad in the United States on the Gold Dome Service. The GoldStar Dome is the top-of-the-line rail service featuring the newest rail cars, the largest picture windows and the finest dining options. The route between Anchorage and Seward is considered by many to be the most scenic in the state and you will have the opportunity of spotting migratory birds, water fowl and moose, Beluga whales and Dall sheep . After passing Girdwood and Portage the track turns and enters some of Alaska's most pristine wilderness area. Be sure to have your camera ready as you pass Spencer Glacier, Bartlett Glacier and travel through Grandview Pass. As you descend towards Seward you will pass Kenai Lake. The turquoise blue color of this 16-mile long lake is a result of sunlight striking suspended glacial silt in the water. In the afternoon, visit The Alaska SeaLife Center, a world-class marine research and rehabilitation facility, and one of Alaska's premier marine visitor attractions. The self-guided tour will allow you to spend as much time as you like viewing and learning about all it has to offer.

Day 4 Kenai Fjords National Park
Today you will depart the Seward Small Boat Harbor for Kenai Fjords National Park on a fast and smooth catamaran. Covering 120-miles, the trip is narrated by a National Park Ranger, who is highly adept at spotting wildlife, pointing out the many spectacular sights, and fielding any questions you may have. Wildlife is abundant throughout the National Park, and the tidewater glaciers are massive. The cruise includes a visit to Holgate Glacier where guests often witness calving - a process by which glaciers shed giant blocks and slabs of ancient ice - from a close distance. This cruise also offers a great opportunity for whale watching in Alaska. With photo opportunities galore, your cruise will be unforgettable. You will also enjoy a scrumptious, freshly prepared Alaska salmon and prime rib buffet meal. A typical menu includes Alaska salmon, prime rib, rice pilaf, green salad, hot sourdough bread, hot coffee or tea and dessert bar.
