Arrive Madrid
Arrive in Madrid, Spain's buzzing capital and perfect place to begin your Spanish explorations. A private car transfer is provided to your hotel, city center and near the Prado. This afternoon, enjoy the first of your sightseeing by private guide, to visit the residence of the King of Spain, the Royal Palace.
Today The Prado
Continue sightseeing Madrid on a walking tour including visit to the Prado, a superb museum housing one of the world's richest art collections. See works by Goya, Velazquez and El Greco. This afternoon is free time to pursue your own interests.
Toledo Experience
Your guide meets you at the hotel and you taxi to the train station for a high speed ride through Castile-La Mancha to Toledo, an open-air museum of Spanish history, architecture and art, a UNESCO world heritage site. The walking tour in Toledo includes the Cathedral, dating from the 13th century. See El Greco's masterpiece Burial of the Count of Orgaz in the church of Santo Tome and the monastery founded by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. Afternoon return to Madrid.
On to Seville
This morning take the AVE Train to Cordoba, the Moorish "Mecca of the West" and largest and richest city of Western Europe in the Middle Ages. Visit La Mezquita, second largest mosque in the world when built, now a Catholic cathedral. See the old Jewish quarter's famed 14th-century synagogue. Then continue by private car to Seville, a most enchanting city and the capital of Andalusia. Stay two nights in a 16th century palace.
More Seville
Seville walking sightseeing includes the Alcazar, a royal palace and originally a Moorish fort. it is a fine example of Mudejar architecture. Visit the Cathedral, Gothic, huge and lavishly decorated. Enjoy a horse carriage ride through romantic, medieval byways. This evening enjoy a tapas dinner with performance of the flamenco, Andalusia's signature dance.
Transfer Out
After breakfast, a private car transfer is provided to the airport as you bid adios. Buena viaje!
