Itinerary:

Monday - The enchanting Galapagos: North Seymour
Early this morning a representative transfers us to the airport in time for the two-hour flight to Galapagos. This incredible archipelago is made up of 13 large islands, six smaller ones, and over 40 islets. Its wonders span from the most varied and incredible geological formations, lava flows, blowholes, spatter cones and lava tunnels, to beaches of olive, black, or white sand and the most diverse species of plant life. However the most surprising sight for visitors is perhaps the varied species of animals which inspired Charles Darwin on his visit in 1835: Sea lions, penguins, tortoises, iguanas, several species of marine birds, many of them endemic, and a rich underwater fauna. This afternoon disembark in North Seymour for a walk along the coast and the interior of the island, observing bird colonies of blue footed boobies, frigate birds, swallow tailed gulls, and also sea lions and marine iguanas. (L,D)

Tuesday - Genovesa Island
Dry and wet disembark at El Barranco (Prince Philip's Steps) in Genovesa Island. A walk in lava terrain will render sights of red-footed boobies, frigates and Palo Santo trees. Return on board for lunch. In the afternoon visit Darwin Bay: wet landing and observation of red-footed boobies, frigates, sea lions, lava gulls and night herons. Snorkeling opportunity in the bay to observe sharks and rays. (B,L,D)

Wednesday - Espanola
This morning we will arrive in Espanola or Hood Island, one of the most interesting islands in Galapagos. We will go for a very interesting hike through a marked trail to observe hundreds of masked and blue-footed boobies, albatross, Christmas iguanas (endemic to this island), sea lions, and even a natural blowhole. Back on the ship we depart for San Cristobal Island. Upon arrival, visit the Interpretation Center and learn about the natural and human history of the islands. Free time to do some shopping. (B,L,D)

Thursday - Back in the continent
Morning visit to Black Turtle Cove located in the north of Santa Cruz Island. A panga ride through the mangroves will render sights of marine turtles, white tipped reef sharks, spotted eagle rays and yellow rays. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the continent. (B)
